Elveriškės Mound with settlement

The mound and the settlement are located on a separate conical hill. The slopes of the mound are steep, 5-12 m high. The upper part of the slopes is made steeper. The mound site is 30 m long and 20 m wide. It is surrounded on all sides by a rampart 0,5-1,5 m high. In the 6-7th decades of the last century, archaeologists P. Kulikauskas and V. Daugutis carried out investigations in the Elveriškės Mound. During the archaeological excavations, shards of ringed pots were found, some of them decorated with ornaments embossed with parallel lines.
