Gateway to Hospitality Sculpture

The Gateway to Hospitality sculpture, created by the famous sculptor Tadas Gutauskas, was built in 2013 to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Sąjūdis (The Movement). A Lithuanian horseshoe symbolising happiness, success and the protection of a home against evil was chosen as the motif of the sculpture. The horseshoe encompasses the signs of happiness and success of Lithuania’s 16 neighbouring nations. Each side of the sculpture depicts the symbols of success of the eight countries from which Druskininkai receives the most tourists.
